Shaykh Shabbir al-Lawati

Shaykh Shabbir al-Lawati is an Islamic scholar and speaker, and a seminary student specializing in the hadith sciences, rijāl, theology (ʿilm al-kalām) and philosophy. At Tasneem he teaches Introduction to al-Ṣaḥīfa al-Sajjādiyya, which examines the theological and spiritual dimensions of the prayers of Imam Zayn al-ʿĀbidīn (ʿa). He has also led extended discussions on Shiʿi hadith methodology, divine attributes, philosophical theology, and the relationship between rational and transmitted proofs.
