Shaykh Saleem Bhimji was born in Fort Rae, North West Territories, and grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. After completing post-secondary education at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, he and his wife, Arifa Hudda, moved to Medina, New York to study in the Imam al-Asr Islamic Seminary and then shifted to Qom, Iran to continue religious studies in the Islamic Seminary of Qom. Returning to Canada in 2000, Shaykh Saleem worked with several non-Profit Muslim charities before shifting over to working full-time in corporate Canada for almost 10 years. Shaykh Saleem has served various communities in Canada including: Kitchener, ON; Halifax, NS, Edmonton, AB and Richmond, BC. In addition to writing and/or translating over 50 full-length books in English. He is currently working with the Al-Kisa Foundation where he is researching and writing an eight-volume commentary of the Noble Quran in English.
