About this course
Explore prayer through its meaning, preparation and practice. The course begins with prayer’s place in worship and the Quran, then considers purity, wudhu, clothing, place, timing and direction before turning to mental preparation and intention.
From the opening takbeer to the closing tashahud and tasleem, the lessons examine the words and movements of prayer. Topics include Surat Al-Fatiha, bowing, prostration, supplication and repeated units, followed by practices after prayer, the nafila prayers and congregational worship.
