About this course
Explore the relationship between divine decree and human destiny through the Quranic vocabulary of qadha’ and qadar. The course begins with different uses of qadha’, including divine will, legislation, judgement, completion and termination, before considering key verses in more detail.
The second part examines meanings of qadar, from size and value to measure and the movement of the sun. A case study from the life of Prophet Musa leads into discussions of divine planning and the concepts of taqdeer and ajal.
