About this course
Approach al-Ṣaḥīfa al-Sajjādiyya through the spiritual, theological and practical questions of supplication. The opening lessons ask whom we address in prayer and why we supplicate, before examining the structure and inner etiquettes of duʿāʾ.
The study then introduces the collection of prayers of Imam ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn and considers its transmission and organisation. This progression connects questions about the act of supplication with an introduction to the text itself, offering a focused starting point for reading its prayers.
